Eye What You Eat

I have a love affair with food. I love everything about it – the taste, the smell, the sight, the texture – I just adore it! I love cooking it, melding flavors together, and then devouring the finished product.

At Eye What You Eat you will find three amazing and artist videos focused on food. A veritable feast for the eyes. They follow the process of making a dish from prep to cooking to how it looks when you serve it in high definition.

The first video is Potage. A potage is a thick stew or soup, and is traditionally made with whatever you happened to be growing in your garden. This take on it looks delicious.

The second video is Soba. Soba are noodles made from buckwheat, and are typically found in Japanese cooking. This video brings together a dish with Soba noodles, asparagus, black sesame seeds, and what appears to be rhubarb and squash.

The third video is Capri. I couldn’t find any information on a dish called Capri, so I think that this is a salad that pays homage to the island of Capri. It features a yellow beet, portabella mushrooms, yellow tomato, zucchini, a purple carrot, orange nectar, and a balsamic and olive oil dressing. It looks mouthwatering.

I love that these videos are filmed in a very high art style that makes the simplicity of the dishes and the beauty of the food really shine through. I’m such a food geek!
