When I look up Facebook on our website, I get ten pages of results on the social media platform, so it’s obvious to me that at WorldStart we spend a lot of time thinking about how we can help you use Facebook effectively. I am pleased to contribute to those results with today’s site, Facebook Design.
Facebook Design is a site where the designers who work on Facebook share their work through a collection of articles, videos, and other resources. When you arrive you’ll find the latest content organized in a tile layout. All you have to do is click on the content you want to explore to be whisked away to its individual page.
I was really surprised at that the content on this site because my (wrong) assumption was that all of this design work was happening in a data silo somewhere under intense non-disclosure agreements. I wasn’t expecting there to be so much transparency being shared out into the internet. What I found instead was vibrant discourse about design that even included articles like DIY Design Education and tips on How to Be Effective at Working Remotely. (I’ll be the first to admit that it isn’t easy! And I’ve been doing it for fifteen years.)
So if you are interested in the design process at Facebook, or you want to learn about this kind of design, I definitely recommend checking this site out!
