Facebook Messenger users will now be able to send PayPal payments from the Messenger app. According to PayPal, the option will slowly be rolling out in the app.
Users will also be able to link their PayPal accounts to Messenger and Facebook at PayPal checkout.
Plus, users in the U.S. can receive their PayPal transaction notifications in Messenger. This could be a handy alternative to email or the PayPal app for those who use Messenger for most of their communications.
Messenger users can currently send money to other users in a debit card transaction fairly easily. Just tap the three-dot more menu within a message.
Then select Payments.
This is the latest addition to the services contained within Messenger. Last year, Uber began allowing customers to hail a ride and pay for it through Messenger. Messenger has plans to add more payment options in the future.
