Fantastic Fiction

Fantastic Fiction

Fantastic Fiction is an interesting web site that provides you with over 30,000 bibliographies and information on 350,000 books.

Navigation is based on those two options. In order to navigate bibliographies, you’ll use the alphabetical menu at the top left of the page. Click the letter of the surname of the author you are looking for.

For example if you click the letter D, you’ll be whisked away to the page with all the authors whose surname starts with D. As you scroll down the list, you will notice that some authors have stars by their names. Those stars indicate their popularity on the site. To the right of their names, you’ll find that if they have new books out it is noted, as well as the genre that they write in.

If you click into an author’s page. You’ll find a listing of what they’ve had published, and any relevant links to their own website, as well as author information.

Navigating by book gives you the option of browsing by Hardcover, Paperback, Audio, and Kindle. Click any of those links beneath the introduction paragraph, to browse a list of new titles in those categories.

You can also use the search engine on the right side of the page to browse the site. Just type in the author’s name or the book title in the appropriate field and then click the search button.

My favorite use of this site is the fact that you can search by series! I love to read books that are a series, but it always bums me out when I pick one up and it is book three. I can’t even start it until I’ve read the books that come before it. But with this series listing, I can make sure that doesn’t happen! And it makes it super easy to find a new series to read when I’ve read through what I currently have.

I hope this site encourages you to get out there and read! Check it out today!
