FileZilla

Are you a Webmaster? If so, you’re going to love this FTP program! It’s one of the best I’ve ever come across. Let’s check it out, shall we?!

In case you’re not sure, FTP is a handy way to upload your files and Web pages onto your Web server (where you store all of your files on the Web). Webmasters (people who run Web sites) use an FTP to upload their creations to the Internet. And FileZilla is a program that allows you to use an FTP to upload your files, without ever really logging on to an FTP server. How cool is that?!

FileZilla is so easy to use and best of all, it’s free! Here’s what a basic FileZilla interface looks like. (Note: I’ve blanked out some of my private details, so that’s why you see some gray areas):

As you can see, it’s basically just like Windows Explorer. Now, when you have a Web site loaded on the right side of the screen, it looks like this:

It’s just like looking at a Web site through Windows Explorer! It’s really easy to upload files too. If you need to upload a file, just double click on it and it will upload right into the directory you have open on FileZilla. That’s all you have to do!

FileZilla is a Sourceforge download, so you know it’s free of viruses and spyware. If you want to download FileZilla for yourself, just head on over to this Web site [1] and get it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
