Find It Where?
Did you know that when you do a Find/Replace in MS Excel, you can control how much of the file is searched?
Yep, that’s right! You can choose to work on a single worksheet or the entire workbook. It’s all up to you. You just have to know where to look for the setting.
To begin, you need to run the Find/Replace function as usual (Edit menu or for Excel 2007, the Home ribbon).
Once you’re in the Find and Replace window, you’re looking for the Options button.
That will expand the window to this:
Take a look at the first new setting added to the window. See where it says “Within?” That’s where you can choose from the drop down list. You’ll find you have two choices: sheet and workbook.
Make your selection and then you’re back to normal business. Happy finding!
