How to Find and Restore a Missing Windows Program
Step 1. Press the “Start” Button or “Windows” key on your keyboard. The “Start Menu” will appear.

Step 2. Just above the “Start” Button will be a search box labeled “search programs and files.” Place your cursor in this Search field and enter in all or part of the name of the program which has gone “missing” (i.e. if Window’s Disk Defragmenter has disappeared, enter “defrag” or “Disk Defragmenter” for Microsoft Paint enter “paint”) The “Search Results” window will appear.
