Firefox 3 Testing
If you recall, awhile back, I told you that Mozilla would be releasing a new version of their popular Firefox Web browser sometime in the distant feature. Do you remember that? Well, either way, it seems as if the release date for Firefox 3 is getting closer and closer to being right around the corner. The other day, I received word that Mozilla has already started the testing for Firefox 3, but more dates are already on the schedule. How exciting is that?!
Alright, now I have a question for you: How would you like to help out with the testing process? If that sounds like something you think you might enjoy, there are several ways you can get involved. At the present time, the Mozilla Project community is looking for new testers and anyone with a computer can help! Mozilla has already set up certain test days and if you think you’d like to help, you can find out when those are by clicking here. A few coming up shortly are all in September, on the 7th, 14th and 21st (2007). Just click on the link I gave you and you will be able to learn more about each test date, as well as, read through some FAQs for additional information.
Now, Mozilla is looking for all kinds of helpers, so there really is something for everyone if you’re interested in helping out. They’re looking for testers, buggers, analyzers and automators. There are several projects all running at once and each one needs to be thoroughly checked. So, if you don’t think you would want to be a tester, maybe you could be an analyzer. It’s up to you! To learn more about each project, check out this Web site. It gives you a full description on how you can get involved. And just think, if you do donate your time, you will be a part of the new Firefox 3 browser. That’s just too cool!
