Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 by | Filed Under: Using The Internet

Below is a list of some free extensions for Firefox that will really help on media websites. From the ability to downloading what you want to making navigation easier those who enjoy their online media have to check them all out.

With the help of this add on you can download all of part a web page. You can download media, images, text or links.

Foxy Tunes

Foxy Tunes is a useful extension that provides a media player in the status bar of your browser window. This means that if you’re playing a song in Windows Media, or other media players, you don’t have to switch between windows. There’s also an option to help you discover new music. Constant updates are needed, though, as there are a few bugs and errors.

Image Zoom

This tool is essential if you need to play about with images on the web. It allows you to zoom in and out on images to a fair degree.

Visual Bookmarks

Visual Bookmarks turns your bookmarks into something much easier to navigate than just the typical list of websites. You can choose a part website to represent the bookmark as an image and then this is put into a separate bookmarks list.

Turn your Firefox browser into your screen saver. You can either choose images from the web to appear, even from RSS feeds, or your own photos.

ClipMarks is similar to copying, but more like using scissors. It allows you to select any part of the website for copying, saving, sending to friends or your blog or printing.

VideoDownloader –

VideoDownloader does exactly what it says on the tin. It will alert you when you access one of the many websites that it can download videos from (including YouTube, Google Videos and Metcalfe) and all you have to do is click on the drop down menu. Now you can view the videos offline and not have to wait for them to load.

GSpace – (

This is quite literally cyber space. It turns your left over Gmail space into space to store any content you like. This means you can access it anywhere with internet access and can also be used to share with friends and family.
