Folding Tablet Could Hit Market This Year

Monday, January 16th, 2017 by | Filed Under: Quick Tips, Smartphones

How do you make people forget an exploding phone? Samsung may have found a way to make people forget about the disastrous launch of the Galaxy Note 7.  According to  Korean newspaper, the company has a phone that folds open into a 7 inch tablet waiting in the wings.

This phone has a flexible folding screen and could hit the market by this fall.  Samsung showed off a similar model in promotional videos a few years ago, but that idea didn’t make it to market…yet.

Would you like a folding pocket tablet? Let us know what you think in the comments.

the folding phone with a hard case with a closing mechanism like a biscuit tin (eg) so it will not squash in the pocket and break the screen will be ideal in my line of work, it may also keep the screen clean and smart.

    Best regards

I have held off getting a smart phone due to the lack of protection for the screen. A folding phone with a latch such as the anti RFID cases have would be great. But, size matters. The smart phones keep getting bigger and bigger and that along with the exposed screen are reasons that I still have a folding “dumb” phone. A tablet would be nice but again…size matters as does weight. A lady’s pocket or purse only holds so much without being too heavy.

I’m beginning to shop for my next phone. I ask my friends and customer what they are using an why do they like/hate it. Eventually,I will get to make that decision. I am liking the features of the folding phone, even though I do not use my phone for much besides making calls and a bank deposit but I like taking picture for work and a larger screen would be great.

Sorry, I already have a folding phone even if it is over 12 years old and still using the original battery. I simply do not need a miniature tablet for the overpriced amount of a new phone. When will the current generation of phone users admit they are seriously addicted to their device. Go to any restaurant and see these people who can’t even enjoy the company of friends and a good meal without constantly checking their phone.
