Welcome to Food Pickle, the first real time Q & A about food! The premise is simple: you ask food related questions and get real time answers!
To ask a question, just type it into the text field on the page and click the Submit button. You’ll need to register or login with your Facebook ID. (You know at first it really annoyed me that everything wanted me to F-Connect to it, but it is so nice to skip all these registration forms by using it.) The registration form wants you to create your cook name (login name), provide your e-mail address, create a password, and then check or uncheck the newsletter box. That’s it! Pretty easy, right? It auto logs you in, and you can ask your question right away.
There are two ways to ask your question via the web, click the field on main page or click Ask a Question, next to See All Questions, either way you’ll get the full form. Which allows you to title your question, ask it (140 characters or less), and then check or uncheck the box for whether you need an answer posthaste because you’re in the middle of your shopping. It also allows you to attach a photo, and decided whether you want to be e-mailed when someone responds to your question.
You can also text them your question at the number they provide on the right side of the page, or you can send your question to them via Twitter using @foodpickle. The last two are great options if you’re in the middle of the grocery store and need to make a food decision. I call my mom all the time for that sort of thing.
If you want to, you can navigate through all the questions by clicking See All Questions. Or you can use the search field next to it, to search for questions about a specific topic. For example, you could search Tropical Fruit. And it would bring up any questions pertaining to tropical fruits.
