One of the professors I had this semester got approved for a sabbatical in upcoming fall semester in Japan! He’s been posting all sorts of great links on Facebook and when I checked out this food blog, I knew I had to share it with you – if only for the scrumptious food photos!
This food blog explores teh best food in Tokyo from a chef’s perspective. Navigation is easy, you just scroll down through the entries and use the Older Posts and Newer Posts options at the bottom the page to navigate the entries.
You can also use the menu on the right to browse by Tags or by using the Archive links.
One of my favorite posts so far has been Visiting Tsukiji Market – it provides great tips for visiting the market, but also serves as a great example of the way the posts are written. You’ll notice it’s photo heavy and after the photos come the text where the author links to very useful information like where you can get coffee before the market opens, how you can check on when the market will be open, and what it will look like when the market moves.
A great example of food related posts is Taste of Culture – The Tohoku Kitchen Workshop it is filled with images of the food, how things are made, as well as written information.
I hope you’ll enjoy browsing the the Food Sake Tokyo blog as much as I did!
