I’m not going to hedge about it, I have a lot on my plate right now between school and work and I need to stay focused. I’ve been giving this app a try to boost my productivity and thought I would share it with you.
When you arrive at the site you can scroll down the page to learn more about the app. The basic gist is that when you’re ready to get some seriously focused work done, you startup the app. As you work, and stay off your smartphone, a tree will grow for every thirty minutes you have the app open. Navigate away from the app to do other things on your smartphone and the tree dies – just like your productivity.
I like this because to my brain I’m not only getting the work I need to get done completed, but I’m also playing a forest growing mini game by being productive.
This free app is available for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Chrome, and Firefox. Click the platform you want to download it from and you’ll be whisked away to that platforms location to download the app. For example, for Android devices you’ll be sent to the Google Play Store.
Go check it out for yourself, and see if growing a forest boosts your productivity.
