I’m an avid knitter, and I’m starting to dip my toes in the knitting designer pond, but in order to do that sometimes a girl needs graph paper. Much to my consternation, I did not have any left in the house. What’s a girl to do when she’s in the grip of a creative burst of “I MUST DESIGN NOW”?
Well, I pulled up my browser, headed to my favorite search engine and started to hunt the web for exactly what I needed. What I found was not only what I needed, but such an amazing resource of different kinds of graphing paper that you can print out for free that I had to share it with you.
Navigation is easy. Just go to the page and select the kind of graph paper you want to browse. Your options are: Squares, Triangular and Hexagonal, Circular and Polar, Asymmetric, Specialty, and Writing and Note-Taking. As you can tell from the variety in the categories you’re sure to find the kind of paper you want.
Once you click into a category, for example in the case of my design issue, I need a square grid. So I picked that. Then I have the option of nine different styles of graph paper in the Square category. I can even pick one of the graph papers that offers customization.
Once you’ve selected the graph paper you want, or have customized it to your specifications, it will open as a .PDF file and you can print it out. On the main page if you scroll past the categories, you’ll find a few tips on printing out your graph paper.
This is a great site to bookmark so that you always have graph paper at the ready when you need it!
