Buried in notifications on your Android phone and tablet?
There is a way to get them under control and limit them to just the important stuff. Here’s how to do it in Lollipop:
Tap your settings icon.
Then choose Sound And notifications.
Scroll down to Application Notifications.
Tap it and you’ll see your apps listed in alphabetical order.
Tap an app and you’ll see the option to turn off notifications or set those notifications as a priority.
Switch Block to the On position and you won’t receive any more notifications from that app.
Set an app to priority and it will appear at the top of the list and will even notify you when Do Not Disturbe is turned on.
For Android Kit Kat, go to settings and then open the App Manager.
You’ll see a list of apps.
Tap on the individual app and scroll down to turn notifications on or off.
