The iPhone 7 sold out but with all of the love for Apple these days that’s hardly headline-worthy. More interesting? Apple is now selling unlocked versions of their latest device so chances are good that people will continue to upgrade to the 7 and 7 Plus until the 8’s eventual release.
If you’ve already made the switch to this bigger, better handset, congratulations! The specs are great right out of the box but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement. From apps and accessories to adjustments to the standard settings, there’s no end to the ways users can customize Apple’s newest offering. Here are just a few ways you can get the most out of your iPhone 7 Plus:
Toggle Those Taptics
The iPhone 7 Plus doesn’t have a physical home button. Instead this device has a capacitive, sensor-driven disk that works just like the rest of the touch screen – except for one important detail. Thanks to Apple’s Taptic Engine, the disk provides sensory feedback just like a physical button and users can adjust the feeling of that feedback by going to Settings > General > Home Button to choose between three sensory options.
Get Quicker Camera Access
Older iPhones still sporting now outdated iOS version made it easy to take snapshots on the fly with the little camera icon that was always on the lock screen. That’s gone with the advent of iOS 10 and some users may have trouble figuring out how to get to the camera. Luckily, it’s still easy! Just swipe to the left on the lock screen any time you want to snap a pic quick.
Switch to the Right Carrier
Switching devices can mean an opportunity to easily switch carriers, and T-Mobile is a good choice because of the perks it offers. For example, there’s the carrier’s popular BingeOn service and the wireless provider is now offering unlimited streaming for post-season baseball viewing on you iPhone 7 Plus.
I’ll have even more tips for getting the most out of your iPhone 7 Plus in part 2 of this article.
