Google Fiber – Google’s super-high speed internet service which is so far available in the Kansas City area – is taking on Cable and Satellite providers by adding a long list of premium channels to the list of service available.

Pricing starts at $300 for a one-time construction fee and nothing to pay after that for Internet and goes up to $120 per month for Gigabit Internet and TV.  Subscribers can get Internet speeds about  100 times faster than average, a terabyte of cloud storage , local television channels and more than 100 premium channels including recent addition, HBO (including HBO2, HBO Signature HBO Family, HBO Latino, HBO Comedy, and HBO Zone) STARZ and Cinemax. Television subscribers also receive a Nexus 7 Android Tablet, which functions as a remote.

The service is expanding to communities near Kansas City by the end of May and the company announced that Austin, Texas is next on the list to test Google Fiber.
