Google Image Recognition
Hello everyone! Here’s a tip I know you’re going to love. We here at WorldStart recently talked about a filter in the Google Images search (you can read that article here) that allows you to view pictures with faces only. I thought that was pretty useful, didn’t you?! But, after thinking about it for awhile, I concluded that it’s rather annoying to have to type “&imgtype=face” at the end of all my URLs. I’m guessing you probably agree.
First of all, it’s hard to remember and also, because it takes too much time. Well, I have done some Web surfing and found a Greasemonkey script that adds a little drop down to all of your Google Images searches. lt looks like this:
Much easier, huh? But not only does it add face filtering, it also adds a news filter, which only shows images from news Web sites. Take a look at these examples from a search I did for Bill Gates:
You can find the scripts you need for this online or you can just experiment with it yourself. Also, if you’re totally in the dark about Greasemonkey, you can find instructions on installing Greasemonkey scripts by clicking here and reading the article.
Have fun with this one!
