Do you remember some time ago when I told you about a new program coming out called Google Presently? It’s been awhile, so it’s okay if you don’t remember (read here if you don’t), but back then, I told you I would keep you updated on it and well, I finally have some news for you! Things have changed a little since I wrote that other tip, but I promise you, it has all been for the good. For starters, the program was released in September 2007 under the name of Google Presentations. Read on to learn even more about it!
To refresh your memory, the basis behind Google Presentations is to bring you a Web based program you can use for your presentations, just like you would use such applications as MS PowerPoint. This new program comes in conjunction with Google Docs and Spreadsheets, so if you already use either of those, you’ll be well on your way to using Google Presentations. With it, you can create basic presentations with the themes it offers and so on and so forth. Now, Google Presentations isn’t as fancy as MS PowerPoint, but you can still do quite a bit with it. If you need to put a presentation together and you’re looking for something a little different than what you’ve done before, Google Presentations is what you need!
Another great feature of this new program is that you can collaborate with other users on the projects you’re working on. For example, if you finish your presentation and you’d like someone else to double check it for you, you can invite other users and share it with them. They can then do the same thing with you. It’s sort of like a “buddy” system and it works great if you’re looking for some feedback on your work. This is one feature you can’t find anywhere else and Google definitely makes it worth your while. So, if you want to get started with using Google Presentations right away, all you have to do is sign in to your Google account through the Google Docs page and you can do that right here. Go on and enjoy all the free presentations your little heart desires!
