So there I was, just browsing around on Google the other day, when I noticed an arrow box thingy next to my search results.
It’s called Search Preview (or Site Preview), and what it does is give you a sneak-peek at a site, without actually having to expend the full bandwidth to browse to it! This is great for folks who remember stuff better visually, or are doing rapid research and can’t recall where they left off. Why waste the time clicking and waiting for a page to load, when you can get quick preview, instead?

So, give it a shot! Next time you’re Googling, click the little arrow box and look at the web a quicker way!

You might have mentioned that FireFox has had this add on, Cool Iris, for many years, not only can you preview a site, you can hear video from the site as well. Google did NOT invent this nor is it their idea, they have simply copied what FireFox programmers have done – your tip makes it seem google is the innovator here and they most certainly are not.
Sounds like a good idea, however the only problem is it’s impossible to read what pops up or even see if it is something worth opening up.
How can microsoft block google mail (gmail)? I would think that would be illegal! I don’t know what you mean by website?
This was really a great tip. I use Google all the time and I remember see this icon but I never tried it for some reason…not only a good tip but a good lesson as well.
Thanks,
Russ
