Do you get a lot of use out of Google Play? Given its wide range of music and movies, and the fact it’s your one-stop shop for apps if you run an Android device, it’s definitely something people would be interested in earning credit for. Fortunately, Google themselves have set up a way where you can earn a little money to spend in the Google Play store, and they call it Google Rewards.
Google Rewards works on a simple basis. Every so often, Google will give you a questionnaire to fill out. Fill it out as truthfully as possible, and Google will automatically credit your account in Google Play money the moment you finish the questionnaire. It’s never a great deal of money — usually within the cents range — but if you like purchasing things on Google Play, it can sometimes amount to something bigger!
So, what about the questionnaires? They do sometimes get a little bit personal, ranging from your personal tastes to if you’ve shopped in a specific store before. As such, you’ll probably not want to install and use this app if you’re sensitive about your personal details or don’t like data gathered about you and your habits.
How To Use It
If doing questionnaires for Google Play credit sounds like something you’d like, just follow these steps:
First. go to the Google Play store and find ‘Google Opinion Rewards’. You can also click this link to navigate to its Play store page. Once there, check if your device is compatible with the app, then press Install.
Once it’s downloaded, boot up the application. Google Opinion Rewards should then proceed to give you a test questionnaire to ensure that you’re human. It’d be no good if they just got robots answering all their questions; they need to make sure you’re a person first!
Once done, it’ll take a little while for Google to go over your results and finalize the fact that you’re human. Once this is done, you’ll be ready to do questionnaires!
Using Google Opinion Rewards
So, how do you get started on answering questionnaires?
Well, the first thing you need to note is that you don’t dictate when you get them. Google Opinion Rewards doesn’t give you a collection which you can pick and choose from endlessly. Instead, it’ll let you know when it believes it has a questionnaire you can answer.
Some users have discovered ways to prompt the app to give you more questionnaires, however. One of them is putting the app on a phone and taking it around with you during your day while your Location History is turned on in your Google settings. As you go around town and into stores, Google will note where you visited and ask you questions about your trip, which then prompts more payouts.
Otherwise, keep answering questions and getting those Play credits. When you think you have enough to spend on something, just hit the ‘Spend your Play Credit’ button in the app itself and you’ll be taken to the Google Play store. Spend those credits wisely!
With Google Play having so much entertainment on its digital shelves, getting them ‘for free’ is always an interesting concept. If you don’t mind answering some semi-personal questions about yourself, you can find yourself with a little extra money to buy a movie or that game you’ve had your eye on.
