When it comes to refilling your ink cartridges, has this thought ever crossed your mind?
“Ink costs a FORTUNE! LIQUID GOLD is cheaper! SERIOUSLY 3 ML of ink for $35?!”
Or…How about that paper?
“An extra sheet of paper for ONE LINE of text!? COME ON!”
Wouldn’t it be great if you could save money on ink and paper by seeing what you print before you print it? Maybe only selecting the pages you want, or being able to put multiple pages on one sheet of paper? Or how about printing only in the cheaper black ink instead of color, or saving what you printed as a PDF to send it in e-mail?
GreenCloud lets you do it, and it’s available for free at http://www.obviousidea.com/windows-software/greencloud-printer/
It allows you to do the following:
- Preview printing jobs
- Remove unwanted pages
- Combine 1, 2, 4 pages per sheet of paper
- Print to PDF – fast PDF creator built-in
- Directly print to Dropbox, Google Docs, Minus.com ( will create a pdf doc )
- 2 sided printing , Black & White and more features that turn on / off in 1 click
- Optimized saving ink option
In the screenshot example above, I deselected page 4 (when a page is pink you’ve selected not to print it) so that only pages 1-3 print. I also elected to turn on gray scale printing only, that way I save that expensive color ink.
But it gets way better.
Let’s say I just want to save the information on the page, and I don’t necessarily need to print it out. If you click “save as PDF,” it creates a PDF document readable by Windows, Mac’s, Phones and almost all tablet computers! Click Here for the PDF of the webpage I created above, and you’ll see what a great a job GreenCloud does!
It couldn’t be easier to use, either! You print just like normal – just select Greencloud from the drop down, and it automatically sets itself as your default printer. Once you click “print,” the GreenCloud window comes up and allows you to select what to print, how to print it, and gives you the option to save it, or send/print it. So much easier – so much more economical!
Stop wasting ink, paper… and your time!
