I just read your tips and one unfortunately applied to me- recently I had to do a research to complete a final paper for an exam; and used “ASK’ a number of time to get some help. But now it is fixed as my home page, which I don’t want. How can I change back to internet explorer? (I am a senior citizen -not very good with computers)
Valerie, this happens a lot and we’ve written about it a few times in the past. Click here for an article that explains how these tricky hijackers get into your system and here for an article that explains how to remove them. This article is about the Ezael bar and homepage, but the same steps will work to remove the Ask toolbar and homepage.
You are likely still using Internet Explorer as your browser. Having Ask as your homepage doesn’t change your browser, just the homepage.
