A reader has an issue with Cortana: “I have win 10 and like it more than win 7. I did an update from 7 when it first became available. Just recently I did the anniversary update and my Cortana stopped working. Can’t find any way to reinstall or repair it without losing apps or all of my GOTD software. Please help. I really miss Cortana.”
I have two suggestions to try. One would be to create a new user account, log on with it, and see if Cortana works then. If that’s the issue, it’s possible your settings became corrupt.
Another thing you can try is to run the Start Menu and Cortana troubleshooter from Microsoft.
Click here to download. A menu will pop up asking if you want to save or run the Diagnostics Wizard. Choose Open with and the Wizard will begin to run.
Let me know if any of these solutions help.
