Welcome to Help From Home! This site teaches you how you can do good from home! This site runs on the premise of microvolunteering, or doing small actions in order to do good. This could be something as simple as reporting dog poo in your neighborhood via a web form, tagging animals in images, or recording snow levels by tweeting! There are over 800 different actions listed here that you can participate in to do good for the world.
When you arrive at the site I suggest watching the Introduction video. It runs just over two minutes and explains the different ways that you get started microvolunteering today.
You can browse by category and pick from Do Good Actions, Green Actions, or Advocacy Actions. When you mouse over one of them it brings up a menu of activities. Click on the one that appeals the most to you.
To the left and right of the introduction video, you’ll also find another way to get started with the Quickies (time-based actions: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes) and Popular Causes. You’ll also find a set of general instructions to get started. You can also get started by selecting from one the six categories at the bottom of the page: For Employees, For Students, For Seniors, For Smartphone Users, Free Resources, and Inspiring Action.
Go check it out for yourself today!
