How do I disable WORDPAD in Windows 7?
I will assume you don’t want to disable Wordpad, but do not want it to be a default program for opening certain types of files. Here’s how to take care of the issue.
Click your start button and select Default Programs on the right. Then choose Set Your Default Programs.
Choose WordPad from the program list and then double-click on Choose defaults for this program.
You’ll see a list of the types of files it opens by default. Uncheck the boxes next to the files you do not wish WordPad to open by default and then choose save.
