Janice thinks she may need to do something before installing Windows 10: When I first got my Windows 7, there was a section that I could click to make it work more like XP. They say Windows 10 will be a lot like Windows 7. I want to have everything like 7 before I do the upgrade to 10, so where do I click to take the XP off?
Janice, it sound like you may have installed Classic Shell, a program that made Windows 7 look similar to XP. If that’s the case, just open Control Panel and select Uninstall a program. You should be able to find Classic Shell and remove it.
If you’re talking about XP mode, which allowed you to run some Windows XP programs in a virtual machine, you don’t have to do anything. That’s just a part of your operating system.
