How Do I Copy Items From A Newsletter?

Question: I have a Windows 7 laptop. I know how to copy/paste, but when I try to just copy an item you sell to my friends, (they might want me to order for them) I end up with the whole newsletter. Also, I don’t know how to store the information about the item on my PC. I hope I’m making sense in your language. We are a few old ladies who can’t live without your great tips/gadgets. Please, it would save me a ton of time/phone calls and translations.

Thank you, Cynthia.

First of all, thank you very much for your kind words. I’m going to break down a few ways you can share products with your friends.

If you’d like to copy just a portion of our newsletter, start by left-clicking just before the part you want to share.

Hold down your “Shift” key and left-click again at the end of the selection you want to copy. That portion should be highlighted.

You can copy that selection and then paste it into an email or document. I will warn you, not all images may come through in e-mails. A better option might be to share the link to the product or article on our website. For a product featured in the newsletter, click on the product link in the newsletter.

That will take you to the product page. Click on the address bar at the top to highlight the address.

Copy the link and then paste it into an e-mail with a few sentences explaining why your friends might want to take a look. To copy an article, just choose the Click here to rate this tip link. That will take you to the web page where you can copy the address just as you did for the product page.

To keep the information for further reference on your computer, the simplest way is to save it as a favorite or bookmark. Go to the web page for the tip or product you like and select the option to save it as a favorite. Typically that option is in the upper right corner of your browser.

It looks like this on Internet Explorer:

Here’s the option on Firefox:

And this is what it looks like on Google Chrome:

Hope this helps. If you really want to make it easy for your friends to view our tips, you could suggest they sign up for our newsletters at this link [1].

By the way, Cynthia, you have a great first name.
