Richelle Ipswich writes from Australia. “You say you can get rid of Windows 10 if you do not like it? I really do not like many aspects of it. How do you do this?”
If you’re within the first 30 days of upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, 8 or 8.1, just type “Go back to my previous operating system” in the search box and click on the result in “Settings.”
You’ll be walked step-by-step through the process of returning to your previous OS. I had to do this once and it went very smoothly. It does take a little bit of time.
If you’re passed the 30 day mark, you would have to reinstall your previous operating system as a clean install. So you would need to make sure you had all important files backed up and the discs and product keys available for any programs installed on your PC.
