How Do I Take A Screen Shot On A Surface Tablet?

Queston: I have a Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet and I can’t figure out how to take a screenshot. Do I need to attach the keyboard? There’s no PrtScn key, would I use another key combination?
Answer: You won’t need to attach the keyboard to your tablet to grab a screen shot. It’s a fairly simply process, but it does require the right touch. Touch the Windows Button at the bottom center of the touchscreen at the same time you press the Volume Down button on the side of the tablet.
The screen will dim for just a split second to let you know you’ve captured the shot. Getting the right touch down can be a bit tricky, especially if you’re working in the Desktop Mode. If you aren’t careful when you touch the Windows Button, it takes you to the Metro/Modern Start Screen instead of taking a shot. But once you get used to it, it’s pretty simple.
The images will save in your Pictures file in a folder called Screenshots. It looks like this in the Metro/Modern Interface:
And like this when you look at the file from the Desktop.
Hope this helps.
