How Many Yahoo! Mail Folders Can I Create?

First of all I love your tips newsletters. Love your whole site for that matter. I just wanted to say that I have been using Yahoo Mail folders for years. They come in very handy. My question on it is how many individual things can be stored in one folder. I seem to keep them at around 30 – 40. Would like to know the exact amount of if they’re endless because if the are I will be doing a lot of changes. Thanks I know you can answer this one.

From what I can see, the limit for creating folders is around 200 folder. While that’s not an endless amount of folders, that’s still quite a lot for you to work with. I can’t find any specific limits to messages. So I’d just try it out and if a folder gets full, you could create an additional folder.

Enjoy getting organized.

As I read her question, it seems she was asking about number of items per folder, not number of folders. Your answer only addressed number of folders. I don’t know if there is any limit in numbers of items but I have had as many as 1000 items in my “In” folder at one time since I use an e-mail client and have a setting to keep items on the server for up to 3 months (so I can still access them from other devices if needed).

Yahoo mail folder names longer than 18-20 characters gets truncated on the screen.
Is there a way to re-size the left pane of the email screen so I can see the full file name and not the 18 first characters? I googled and yahooed but did not find any reference to this. I can’t believe I am the first to encounter this.
