Welcome to How Products are Made, the Web site where you will find seven volumes of products. Each volume ranges from A to Z in the product lists.
On the main page, you will also find links to Inventor Biographies. There is also an introduction paragraph that will further explain what the site is all about. So, let’s get started, shall we?!
If you click Volume 1, you will be taken to that volume’s page where you will find entries of different products from A to Z. The first entry is Air Bag. If you click the name of the product, you will be taken to that product’s own page. So, we’re off to find out how air bags are made!
You start off with the background information, which basically explains why the product was made and it scratches the surface on how it works. Next, you head off to History where you will learn when the product was first thought of, when it was patented, as well as, how it has changed in design over the years. Then you will learn how it is manufactured, what raw materials are used in its production and you’ll even learn a little about quality control. Next, you will learn about the future of the product. Following that, you find out where you can learn more about it and you can read user comments or leave your own comments on the product page.
You will also find a link to the forum after the user comments, which is where you can discuss products and how they are manufactured with other people.
One thing I want to mention before I wrap this up is that there is a search engine as well, so if you are really curious about a certain product, you can look it up instead of having to go through each volume. You will find the search engine on the main page under the Inventor Biographies section.
For example, type in “chocolate” and then click Go. That will bring up your search results, which will show you the most relevant result at the top of the page.
I think the range of products covered on this page is very wide spread and I look forward to more products being added in the future. Check it out!
