I know I’ve talked off and on about blogging here, everything from where you can blog to what blogging is. Today I’m bringing you an awesome site devoted to helping you design your blog and style it so that it is attractive to your viewing audience.
The author breaks blog design into nine different categories, they are: Header, Content Area, Primary Navigation, Secondary Navigation, Headlines, Comments, Post’s Footer, Footer, and Advertisements. If you click on any of these topics in the Introduction portion of the site, you’ll jump down to that category. This makes navigation through them a breeze. You also have the option of reading everything all at once by just scrolling down.
If you spend time making each of these sections shine, not only will you attract readers but they’ll take you seriously because you’ve put in the time and effort to make your blog appeal to them visually.
What I find so engaging about this site is that not only does the author give you hints and tips on how to make your blog better, but they also provide you with excellent examples to look at for what they’re explaining. I also like that the author looks past just the graphics into topics like creating good Headlines to draw your readers into reading your posts.
On the side of the page you’ll find links to other popular posts, as well as, links to recent posts. These cover topics like – 37 Ways to Design the Comments Form, and 17 Resources for Creating a Blog Design.
If you have a blog, or are thinking of creating one – even if it is just for your friends and family – then you should definitely check this site out. I know that I’ll be back here when it is time to redesign my blog seriously.
