How To Enable Aero Snap in Win 7?

Howard from UK writes:

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. When I first installed it the aero snap feature worked, but now does not. Can you advise how to get it working again?

Aero Snap, the feature which automatically expands windows when you drag them near the edges of the screen, can easily be enabled/disabled.

Step 1.) Click on Start, then click Control Panel.

Step 2.) In the search box in the upper right hand corner type: accessibility. This should bring up the options for Ease of Access Center. Click on View current accessibility settings.

Step 3.) Click on Make it easier to focus on tasks, and then click Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen to disable aero snap. If you want to enable it, make sure the box is unchecked.

Step 4.) Click Apply, then OK.

That’s it! Aero Snap is now enabled. You can learn more about this feature at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/snap [1]
