Good try – but it did not do the trick it was supposed to do. I’ll keep looking for any kind of good program that will remove the arrow from the short-cuts on my desk-top.

This tip re: Vista Shortcut Manager, does not work for me. I use Win 7 operating system. Is this tip strictly for Vista?

Check out Ultimate Windows Tweaker (Windows Club). This will give you options for all kinds of personalization, including removing the short cut broken arrow. FYI.
