This site is a blessing! I used to hand code web pages in HTML a million years ago, then I moved onto using an application to do it, and now I don’t code sites at all, but I do still occasionally need to use HTML to post pictures to my blog on crocheting.
There are tons of images floating around Flickr that are licensed under Creative Commons (check out the link on the main page if you want the specifics of what a creative commons license is). And the nice thing about this site is that if you do not have the Flickr link for the image you want you can do a search for images that will fit the criteria you are looking for. For example, if I wanted to find a picture of a kitten I would just click Search at the top of the page, type in kitten, and choose the option I wanted to search for (either free to use commercially, or free to adapt) and then click the search button.
Once you’ve found a picture that you like copy the URL from the address bar of your browser and then head back to ImageCodr and click Get Code! Paste it into the blank box next to Flickr URL and click Submit Query.
It will then give you the code you need to use the image. Isn’t that easy?
