Heartbleed Hacker Arrested In Canadian Taxpayer Info Breech

A Canadian teenager has been arrested for using the Heatbleed flaw to leak the Social Insurance numbers of close to 1000 Canadians after the Canadian Revenue Agency (Canada’s version of the IRS) was hacked. The attack forced the agency to shut down its electronic filing and actually moved Canada’s tax deadline from April 30 to May 5.

Users of the Chrome OS may not have to worry about a password to unlock their computer. Google execs have spoken out in the past about wanting to get rid of the password entirely and have discussed everything from tattoos to chips implanted under the skin as a solution.

Now they’re rumored to be working on something consumers might be more willing to try, a password free lock screen that would open automatically whenever your smartphone comes near your computer.

FingerReader Lets Blind Read Printed Page

A new device that slips on your finger like a ring allows the visually impaired to read text, whether it’s on the printed page or displayed on a computer or tablet.

Developed by MIT researchers the FingerReader has a built-in camera to see the text, which is then read aloud to the reader. The project is still in the prototype phase.
