Fortunately, my XP lasted 9 years, so I didn't have to go the Vista route. Unfortunately, I had to go the Windows 7 route when my XP gave out. Win 7 took all my fun away, and so did Windows Live Mail. I despise the silly thumbnails when I try to send a picture or photo. I want them in the body of the email, and always loved putting little gif animations in the body of my emails. I could also send a song, and the recipient could hear the song as they read the email. Everyone loved that. Can't do that anymore with Win 7. Neither can I put a little gif animation over my desktop wallpaper. I long for the days of XP, Outlook Express 6, and Internet Explorer 6. With my loathing Win 7, I hate to even think what Windows 8 will be...probably more nutty than 7...Annie

You’re right about no one liking Vista.
