Have AT&T? I’m Sorry To Hear That
If your mobile provider is AT&T this may not come as a surprise to you – AT&T ranks dead last against the four national carriers in overall customer satisfaction. In fact, according to a satisfaction survey conducted by Consumer Reports, all four of the carriers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile) had their customer satisfaction numbers fall this past year. AT&T’s ranking was a 59 out of a possible 100, with Verizon topping the list at 73, Sprint at 72, and T-Mobile at 67. T-Mobile actually dropped the most over the past year, but still held a substantial lead over AT&T.
AT&T spokesman Mark Siegel responded to the survey by saying AT&T can evaluate and learn from the report. He also stated that they have “made significant progress in our network in 2011.” Despite the improvements, customers seem to be less than impressed. Areas where AT&T fell short included value, phone customer support, and overall voice quality. It ranked last in all three categories compared to the other three carriers.

Caffeine Gone Mobile
Get your caffeine fix yet today? Many of you may have gotten your fix from a local Starbucks this morning, and the way you pay for it has taken on a whole new look. Less than a year ago Starbucks launched a new app that allows mobile payments for your morning kick. 2011 has been dubbed the “year of mobile” for the company, and the numbers back it up.
According to Mashable, Starbucks has had 26 million transactions with it’s mobile app, which is available for Blackberry, Android, and iOS devices. One in four Starbucks transactions are done via Starbucks card, and a large chunk of those transactions are done via mobile. According to Adam Brotman, SVP and general manager of Starbucks, 91% of people who have downloaded to mobile payment app have used it. It seems like the convenience of mobile payment is catching on, at least when it comes to our precious morning coffee.
