Yahoo Shuts Down Classic Mail

Yahoo is closing down older versions of Yahoo! Mail, including Yahoo! Mail Classic. Users will only be able to access their Yahoo! Mail if they upgrade to the new version. Yahoo advises users who don’t want the upgrade to download their data to their PC using a program like Outlook or Mac Mail or to close their account.

If you’ve paid for a Yahoo Mail Plus account and wish to close your account, you will be eligible for a prorated refund for the unused portion of your service.

BTW, thanks for the timely tip,
    Jerry
