iPod 16GB Touch – No colors, no rear camera

If you’re one of those people who use your iPod touch as a convenient point and shoot camera, don’t buy the new 16 GB first-generation model.

This device doesn’t offer a rear-facing camera, though it still has a front facing model for Face-Chat and self portraits. The color options have also been trimmed to just one: a black front and a silver back. It also no longer comes with a wrist strap.

Girl’s Image Of Reunion With Dad Wins Google Doodle Competition

Sabrina Brady won the 2013 U.S. Google Doodle competition with an image telling the story of her reunion with her father when he returned home from an 18-month deployment in Iraq. The theme of this year’s competion was “My Best Day Ever…”

The 12th grader at Sparta High School in Sparta Wisconsin will receive a $30,000 college scholarship, a Chromebook computer and a $50,000 technology grand for her school. She plans to attend the Minneapolis College of Art & Design in the fall.

Yahoo Shuts Down Classic Mail

Yahoo is closing down older versions of Yahoo! Mail, including Yahoo! Mail Classic. Users will only be able to access their Yahoo! Mail if they upgrade to the new version. Yahoo advises users who don’t want the upgrade to download their data to their PC using a program like Outlook or Mac Mail or to close their account.

If you’ve paid for a Yahoo Mail Plus account and wish to close your account, you will be eligible for a prorated refund for the unused portion of your service.
