Thanks for this important tip.

We are ignorant of the need to eliminate power drains in devices when we are at home/office. The problem will be felt only during travel when frequent recharging is difficult. At that time, we suffer more unnecessarily with out realizing that many useless programs still work background by default.So, it is best to plug such leaks beforehand!

I have an HTC incredible smart phone. I have GV on it which I use to send text msgs.
I can not deleted the old text msgs from Google voice.
Any suggestions?
I get your daily tips which I find informative, but have not seen much on this issue.
