Clip art can really liven up a Word document. How you insert Clip art into a document depends on which version of Word you’re using.
Of course, the first step is to create a new document or open an existing one.
Click the Insert Tab at the top of the page.
If you’re using Word 2007 or 2010, you’ll see the option to choose Clip Art at the top.
Just click on it and a pane will open. You’ll be able to pick from a selection of clip art or search for clipart on Office Online.
If you’re using Office 2013 or 2016, you’ll need to click on Online pictures.
Bing Image search will open.
Type in what type of image you would like to search for. You’ll have options to sort by size, type, color and the type of license. I suggest choosing the Creative Commons only setting to make sure you’re only using images that you’re legally allowed to use.
I’m going to narrow the results by to Clipart under the Type menu.
Select an image and choose Insert.
You can then resize the image to fit your document by grabbing the handles.
Here’s the finished product.
