InterfaceLift: Wallpaper

By now you know that I love to change my desktop wallpaper. I’m always hunting for great sites to get free wallpaper from, thus I’m bringing you this amazing wallpaper site that you are going to LOVE!

The wallpaper is sorted by date, sort of blog style, so that the newest additions are on top and you scroll down the page to go back through the previous entries.

What do I love about this wallpaper site? The wallpapers are high resolution and wide screen – which is right up my alley. The other thing I adore is that you can sort how you navigate the wallpapers so you can get right to what you’re looking for.

At the top of the page you can choose from three different categories to sort the wallpapers by, they are: Section, Sort By, and Resolution.

Section – here you can set it to the following parameters: Downloads, Artist, Tags, Help, Submit, and RSS. The first three options will give you access to wallpapers, the next three can help you set up your wallpaper, submit a wallpaper, or check the RSS feed.

Sort By – this does exactly that – it sorts wallpaper by: Date, Downloads, Rating, Comments, Random, and My Favorites.

Resolution – do you only want to see wallpapers of a certain resolution so you don’t have to waste time making it work for your monitor? Well then this is your best option to eliminate anything that isn’t the resolution you want. For example, if you click Widescreen, it will then give you sizes to pick from, once you select a size it will give you access to all the wallpapers in that size.

There are absolutely incredible wallpapers on this site! So many in fact, that I recommend you sign up for an account before you start browsing, so that you can add the wallpapers to your favorites as you browse through them. I didn’t and had to go back through seven or eight pages of wallpapers to get the ones I had passed by before it occurred to me that I’d be better off adding them to my favorites as I went.

Registration is easy and free, just fill out the form, and then verify your e-mail address to get started! I also would recommend bookmarking the site so that any time you want to give your desktop a facelift you can head right back to this site and pick one of the many favorites you’re sure to have.
