# Interior Paint Calculator

Interior Paint Calculator

So, I decided a couple of summers ago to paint my kitchen a color that is very white green. But since then, I’ve decided to paint it again and this time, I chose a sunny yellow instead. Of course, I had no idea how much paint I would need, so when I found this fabulous interior paint calculator, I was all set!

All you need to use it are the dimensions of your room. The measurements you need are:

Room Length
Room Width
Room Height
Baseboard Height
Doors
Windows

The other thing you need to know is how many square feet does a gallon of the paint you want to use cover? The default is set to 300, but pick whatever will work the best for you. After doing some thinking, I decided my range was between 250 and 400 square feet, so I just kept the default in place.

Once you’ve filled in all of the fields, click Calculate and it will show you the amount you need under Totals.

This is a great tool to calculate how much paint you’ll need to do some interior painting. It helped me budget the cost of my paint as well. I hope you all can get some good use out of this Web site!

# Interior Paint Calculator

Sometimes I run across things that I’ve looked up to solve a real life problem and I think to myself, if this helped me, I’m sure it can help other people with the same dilemma. We recently decided to paint our kitchen and I had no idea how much paint we were going to need, so I started looking around on the Internet and I found this great paint calculator.

You first take the measurements of the room you want to paint. This means the length, width and height of the walls, as well as, how many doors and windows there are with their measurements too. Then you put that information into the calculator along with how many square feet a gallon of the paint you want to use covers. Then click Calculate.

You’ll then find out how many gallons you need in the totals area. (You’ll notice it is darker gray around this area to attract your eye to the total!) They give you the disclaimer that you should do your own measurements and check with a professional, because this is just a rough measurement. That of course, is all good advice, but I used it and it was right on the money.

So, I hope it can help you out as much as it did me!
