That's what's on my XP eMachine I've had for 7 years. I immediately removed Norton & McAfee from it when it was new. [With an attendant LARGE increase in speed ! ] Also, I have NO windows updates installed, and DO NOT allow Microsoft in to my computer. The only Service Pack is SP2 which came on the machine 7 years ago. I have NO problems. No crashes, no BSOD et al. I HAVE taken time to delete and turn off all PHONE HOME programs - like ALL DRM files, remote access services & files - from Billy and the Redmond gang, + others.No one believes this, but it's TRUE ! The best antivirus I know of is NONE.

It is fast and works great too. It works at the machine level and is very effective. Another great thing is that it does not bog your system down while doing a scan. I`ve always thought the paid version were much better and i intend to print this tip and put it up on the bulletine board at work for all my co worker to see.
