jetAudio can be installed on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7 and supports mp3, wma, avi, along with many other formats. Additionally, it provides the tools for audio file conversion and for recording from analog devices, and it can be used to play DVDs and VCDs.
You can download jetAudio here. Just look for the button shown below. You’ll be redirected to cnet for the download, but you may want to explore the jetAudio site, since they offer more than just this player.

The download is pretty straight forward, with only a couple steps in the process offering choices. First, you can choose where you’d like to place a shortcut. I chose to only add one to my desktop. Since jetAudio doesn’t automatically open at the end of the installation process, this is a handy way to get started.

The second choice you get to make is the one below. I elected to uncheck each box.

Once the installation is complete, find the desktop shortcut and open jetAudio.

The Initial Settings window opens. I left everything in the default position (no changes).

In the Scan for Media Files window, you can set up how you’d like jetAudio to look for files.

When you’ve made these choices, click OK and you’re off and running. The skinnable interface is user friendly with all the player tools at the bottom of the screen, and the viewing and audio/video adjustment tools at the top.
The Player

The controls to the left are the typical player controls (play, stop, pause, etc.). If you hover over the items in the center as shown, information about the track that’s playing appears. The volume control slider is on the right.
Audio/Video Controls

With the tools shown here, found at the top of the player, you can adjust sound, shuffle or repeat songs, and otherwise tweak the output. In addition, this is where you’ll find the Record, Create Audio CD, Convert Audio and Video, or Rip CD tools. The buttons to the left adjust viewing and search options.
All in all, this is an easy to use, solid, full feature media player. And you can’t beat the price.
Enjoy.
