When I found this open access journal devoted to the art of the long eighteenth century I couldn’t pass up the chance to share it with all of you. I love this time period!
To learn more about the journal check out their About page. This is a new journal that will be published twice a year, and in between they’ll be releasing content in the Notes & Queries section.
You can check out the first issue by heading over to the Current Issue section. I love that the articles include photographs for reference to the topic that is being written about! That way you can really see what the author means. One of my favorites from this issue was the graffiti article. I always conceive of graffiti as thoroughly modern, despite knowing that there is a ton of historical graffiti out there. It was really neat to see examples of it and learn about the history.
To see the themes of what’s coming up next be sure to check out the Future Issues. I’m really excited for the Louvre Local issue coming out sometime this fall.
I’m so excited to learn more about art through this journal. Go check it out for yourself today!
