In order to program the other buttons on the mouse, you will need to install the software on the disk.
1. Insert the disk into your computer then go to "my computer".
2. On the "my computer" screen, find the disk and double click on it.
3. Inside the disk, double click on the folder called "5 button mouse".
4. Double click on the setup icon.
5. Restart the computer.
6. After restart, you should see a mouse icon in the system tray by the clock. If you do not, go to start-> all programs -> Multimedia mouse-> optical mouse-> mouse driver. This will make the mouse appear by the clock.
7. Double click on the mouse icon. This will open the configuration screen.
To connect the mouse to the system, first insert the batteries into the mouse and then connect the USB cable to the computer.
After connecting the USB cable, the system should automatically install the drivers.
If the back of the mouse does not light up red, you may need to charge the mouse. Place the mouse on the charger for 8 hours and allow it to fully charge before using.
After the mouse is charged, remove the mouse from the cradle.
Press the button on the front of the receiver and the blue light should start blinking. While this is blinking, press the black button on the underside of the mouse. The blue light should blink quickly then stop.
The mouse should now work.
