Problem:
I am trying to install system mechanic and it is telling me to uninstall my antivirus/firewall software. I want to keep my current antivirus/firewall software. How do I do this?
Solution:
If you currently have Anti-Virus / Firewall software from another company and you do not want to remove it, you need to tell System Mechanic that you do not want the Iolo Firewall and Iolo Anti-virus.
During the installation of System Mechanic, you will be shown a screen that asks what portions of the program you want to install. Uncheck the options for Iolo Anti-virus and Iolo Firewall.
If you do this, you will not be asked to remove anything and you can keep your previous Anti-virus/Firewall software.
